Boxed-In Childhood
“Boxed-In Childhood” is a visual essay on the hostile environment that is growing up in car-dominated Manhattan.
“Children deserve to go outside without fear, play with freedom, and experience childhood in a non-threatening environment. If the city can remember itself—the human-scaled giant it once was—then maybe children will be able to return to the sidewalks, and move us toward a future where human lives matter once more.”
