Tea Laroux is a fine art photo artist based in New York City.

Tea Laroux (b. 1997, Natchitoches, Louisiana) is a fine-art photo artist based in New York whose practice is anchored in Baroque art history, Sephardic liturgy, and the Pictorialist tradition. A U.S. Navy veteran, Laroux employs light as a sculptural force to construct visual icons that prioritize allegorical metamorphosis over documentation.

His work functions as a dialogue with Tenebrist mastery, utilizing medium-format digital sensors and the "chemical witness" of 120 film to explore ritual, memory, and the physical weight of the unknown. Currently based at the School of Visual Arts in New York, Laroux’s research-driven practice has been exhibited nationally and internationally, most recently in the juried exhibition at the SVA Chelsea Gallery.

In July 2026, he will participate in the Alpujarra Artist Residency in Granada, Spain, continuing a long-term investigation into the historical and spiritual return to Sefarad. His work has been recognized in The World of Interiors, Vogue.com, and Al-Tiba9. Laroux’s practice remains a meditation on devotion and the sculptural construction of light.
